Arawan Thai Bistro and Dessert is a modest spot tucked into a quieter part of East Sahara Avenue that offers a straightforward, no-frills Thai dining experience away from the usual Las Vegas bustle. It’s the kind of place where locals retreat when they want bold flavors and generous portions without the Strip prices or crowds. The atmosphere leans toward casual and relaxed, fitting for groups or couples seeking a reliable meal in an unassuming setting.

The restaurant’s menu highlights a variety of traditional Thai dishes alongside some Asian fusion options, with choices that range from Pad Thai loaded with large prawns to rich curries like Panang and Red Curry. Portions are hearty, making it a solid pick for anyone hungry enough to appreciate a filling plate after an active day or a long night out. Though the area around the restaurant can feel a bit quiet and off the beaten path, inside, the service maintains a welcoming attentiveness.

Visitors often mention dishes like drunken noodles, chicken satay, and fried rice with seafood as dependable options. There’s also a sweet finish to explore, from mango sticky rice to more Western dessert touches such as vanilla bean crème brûlée and apple strudel, catering to a range of tastes without veering too far from the bistro’s core identity.

Ideal times to visit are evenings or weekend dinners where you’ll avoid the daytime quiet and can enjoy the convivial vibe with friends or family. Those who appreciate well-executed Thai food served in a straightforward setting—without pretense but with consistent flavors—will find Arawan Thai Bistro a sensible choice in the local landscape.

Been here a few times and it never disappoints when you're craving Thai Food. Nice little quaint spot in a sketchy looking area (not too much foot traffic and hidden.) But, one of our favorite spots to dine at. Food: Idk what it's called, but it's the Pad Thai with HUGE prawns. Fried Fish Pork Ribs I can't remember all the dishes but all were delicious. The flavors are bold (especially the fish sauce.) I highly recommend this spot for Thai food.

My wife and I have been here several times and they never disappoint. We've tried many delicious food on the menu and they are all so good! Service from the servers was most excellent! I love their fried tofu fried rice. So simple yet very delicious! My wife had the drunken noodle with soft tofu. Both cooked to the correct spice levels and enjoyed every single bite. Will definitely come back over and over again. Update: still excellent service and great food

Las Vegas is a special place. Tons of lights, loud music, beautiful people, and wonderful food. After spending $27 each on a red bull vodka the night before my group of 12 needed something special, to be reminded of what Vegas has to offer, off-strip. That's when we ventured to Arawan Thai, a small, unassuming Thai restaurant that punches way above its weight (also way cheaper than the strip!!!) A few highlights from our marvelous meal: 1. The ahi tuna larb is an incredible spin on the traditional Thai larb salad, made with wonderfully fresh tuna, bright lime and cilantro, and fresh onions and mint. Definitely recommend. 2. All of the curry dishes were spectacular. Massaman curry was sweet and not too spicy and the fatty short rib was a great complement to the curry. The green curry was spicier, less sweet but full of veggies. The yellow curry was on point too -- not too spicy not too sweet. 3. The Arawan pad Thai was special -- sweet and savory, fish sauce, lime juice, tender pieces of chicken and shrimp. The egg lattice on top was a great addition as well. 4. OMG that Thai steak salad with fresh mint it was so fresh, zingy and bright. The dressing cut straight through the steak's fat with was perfectly medium rare. Get this please. 5. If you're wondering whether it's worth getting the whole that catfish...do yourself a favor and do it. The outside was insanely crispy but the inside was so soft and tender. None of the slimey taste that sometimes accompanies poorly cooked catfish. The empty plate shows that we really enjoyed that fish... This was a lot of food! You'd expect us to have been done right? WRONG! We also got all of the desserts on the menu and honestly, that was a wonderful decision. The coconut ice cream, outstanding. The banana crepe was shockingly complex, gooey, soft, sweet, crispy and complemented by the Thai iced tea ice cream. The coconut rice and mango was not too sweet, and absolutely wonderful. The mango ice cream was absolutely the best sorbet that I've ever had. This is NOT an exaggeration. After getting our check (and ceremoniously clapping for and celebrating the chefs), we got four FREE freshly made panna cotta with mango sauce. The pastry chef was literally just testing a new dessert, and it was absolutely perfect. The Panna Cotta was not too sweet and stood up well to the tart mango sauce. If you are visiting Vegas, you MUST try this place. You will NOT be disappointed. Our trip involved laughs, hugs, smiles, tears, and lifelong memories. Don't settle for bad food, especially when places like Arawan exist to make incredible food experiences available, just off the Vegas strip. Happy Eating.

Excellent portions, presentation, ambiance and service! I had the Arawan Pad Thai and my companion had the Duck Red Curry. We also ordered the chicken satay and spring rolls. In all honesty, the Arawan Pad Thai wasn't my favorite. The presentation was gorgeous but I didn't care for the flavor. My companion really enjoyed the duck red curry, though. Both appetizers were also delicious! I would definitely come back to try other dishes.

Arawan Thai Bistro was awesome! The food was super yummy, especially the Panang curry and chicken satay – seriously delicious. I tried a bunch of dishes like red curry, yellow curry, fried rice, and egg rolls, and they were all really good. The service was good, and they made the food pretty fast. Prices were fair, and you get a lot for what you pay. Definitely recommend.

Omg I can not say enough. This Lil place is beyond delicious, and full of flavor. The server was humble, kind, attentive, and caring. The egg rolls, papaya salad, shrimp Wong Ton, Tom Kha, Pad Thai was delicious. I flew in to Vegas and found this little gem. Now listen the neighborhood is less than desirable, so don't come fancy or with a fancy bag. However, the place was clean, and the food was off the charts. Don't let the outside prevent you from coming and enjoying the best Thai ever.Absolutely fantastic!

Be advised this place opens at 5:00 p.m.. Located in commercial center off of East Sahara East of the strip this place is a dining diamond in the rough. The people were friendly service was consistent and the food was very tasty. I had as pictured the mint chicken at a level 5 which the heat did not overshadow any of the subtle flavors at all easily a number seven would have pepped up a bit but just to be safe and I was rewarded with a great tasting dish. With some friends numerous dishes were ordered including one of the ones pictured and a bunch that were not the Thai Tea I wanted to order a picture and just put a garden hose in it it was so tasty. The rice noodle covered prawns / shrimp we're good as well especially with the plum sauce that it comes with. Also the spring rolls are very clean tasting light wrapped with Greenery topped off with a shrimp the sauce for that was tasty and unique as well. I do recommend it it's located near where the old Lotus of Siam was for those who know. Nearer to some work sites so we'll be going again.

This is one of our most favorite places to go to. Why? Because this is where me and hubby went for our first date and since then we fell in love with this place. Every Valentines day we go back here to rekindle the memories. Foods are always amazing, we have tried so many different dishes here and everything was delicious. Although my favorite is their big fried whole fish. Service here is always phenomenal, I used to be a server so I know when a service is more than just great but amazing. Every presentation of the dish is very delightful and you could tell that the chef takes pride of it. Their desserts are always something we look forward to, not just creatively presented, but it's always delicious too. I brought my best friend here too for her birthday and she loved it. This place is awesome for special occasion and romantic dates. It's very solemn, and good vibes. I can't say good enough for this place. I hope they keep their business for a long time. 2024 Check-in: Still my favorite Thai restaurant in Vegas. I cannot highly recommend this place enough
